This case study shows a 39-year-old male patient who has been diagnosed with acute respiratory failure (ARI). Acute respiratory failure is a very common condition in hospital emergencies, it is determined as a serious consequence of health problems, which mainly affects the respiratory system, preventing it from fulfilling or performing its vital function correctly, which is to administer oxygen (O2) to the blood and eliminate carbon dioxide (CO2). In addition, it will be announced what are the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatments that will be applied to the patient with acute respiratory failure during the days that I enter the emergency room where immediately supplemental oxygen is administered with nasal cannula at 3 liters per minute along with enalapril of 10mg for the symptoms presented by the patient, acute respiratory failure was presumed to be due to heart failure. Its objective was to apply respiratory therapy techniques in a 39-year-old patient with acute respiratory failure, due to which the patient had a heart rate of 73 beats per minute, his respiratory rate was 24 resp/minute, with a temperature of 36.4°C and a blood pressure of 142/72 mmHg. The conclusion of the case study was that the improvement of the patient with acute respiratory failure was achieved through oxygen therapy and nebulization treatment performed.es_ES
