Myopia is a disorder considered one of the main causes of visual disability in people worldwide, its prevalence is increasing. Another problem that puts visual health at risk is exophthalmos, which deals with an outward projection of the eyeball that causes great consequences if it does not have timely attention. The present clinical case is based on the study of a 21-year-old female patient who has problems of high myopia and exophthalmos; therefore, it develops a clinical picture characterized by the following symptoms: blurred vision of distant objects, visual fatigue, headaches or migraines, excessive dryness of the eyes, eye pain and slight palpebral refraction. The objective of the study is to analyze the visual health of the 21-year-old patient for the adaptation of contact lenses as an alternative solution that helps improve their quality of life. For which, objective and complementary physical examinations were carried out; For this reason, the use of descriptive, observational and retrospective research on the information shown by the patient under study was considered, in order to obtain as much information as possible about the patient's condition. The results of the clinical examination made it possible to determine that the patient's visual acuity without correction was RE: 20/400, LE: 20/400, while the tests with correction established the following information: RE: 20/40 and LE: 20/50. In addition, it is established as a conclusion that the adaptation of contact lenses improved the visual health of the patient, where she presented a monocular visual acuity of 20/30 and a binocular visual acuity of 20/20, which are adequate indicators regarding the vision of the patient studied person.es_ES
