dc.description.abstractLa diabetes mellitus tipo II es una enfermedad provocada por defectos en la acción de la insulina complicando descompensaciones metabólicas. La hipertensión arterial es una enfermedad que consiste en una medición de la fuerza ejercida contra las paredes de las arterias a medida que el corazón bombea sangre a su cuerpo. Padecer de ambas patologías requiere de un control permanente tanto de la persona que la padece como la del servicio sanitario. Para evitar complicaciones a largo o corto plazo como problemas del corazón, riñones aterosclerosis y daños en los riñones. El tratamiento nutricional de este caso clínico se basa en realizar un proceso de atención nutricional individualizado a un paciente de sexo femenino de 56 años con diagnóstico médico de Diabetes Mellitus tipos II e hipertensión arterial, a través de su objetivo que es, mejorar el estado nutricional del paciente con diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus tipo II e hipertensión arterial por medio de un tratamiento dietético. Se evalúo su valoración nutricional para obtener un diagnóstico integral nutricional, se diseñó un tratamiento dietético y se realizó el seguimiento del tratamiento para determinar su efectividad.es_ES
