Nutritional care in patients with congenital hypothyroidism is part of the multidisciplinary management that should be offered to contribute to the improvement of their quality of life. In this clinical case, the aim is to improve the nutritional status of the patient with congenital hypothyroidism. We worked with a four-year-old male preschool patient for one month, initially the development of a nutritional care process was carried out, including among its sections the four steps detailed in the literature, with the first step the nutritional assessment is carried out to be able to establish the corresponding nutritional diagnosis that represents the second step, and with it will carry out the third step highlighting the nutritional intervention through the dietary prescription, ending with the follow-up through nutritional controls to verify the adherence and effectiveness of the treatment. The results indicated that during one month of dietotherapeutic treatment he managed to slightly improve the nutritional status of the patient, evidencing an increase in weight and change in the initial standard deviations, same changes that have been considered as satisfactory results. This concludes that good nutrition in childhood and much more in cases where the health of the child is compromised with some disease or alteration in their nutritional status is of vital importance.es_ES
