dc.descriptionOvarian cysts are a very common disease in women, which in turn can be of different types and most ovarian cysts tend to have no symptoms. The objective of this clinical case is to present the Nursing Care Process in an adult patient with an ovarian cyst, who attends the emergency area of the IESS General Hospital in Babahoyo with a clinical picture of two days of evolution due to presenting acute type pain at the lateral level of the lower back, loss of appetite and refers pain at the time of sexual intercourse. The patient was assessed using the theorist Marjory Gordon and her functional patterns, as well as Dorothea Orem's Theory of Self-Care. Through the application of the Nursing Care Process, it was possible to provide all the necessary care, which was based on the patient's symptoms and their needs, in order to achieve an acceptable improvement, a situation that confirmed the effectiveness of nursing interventions applied to the patient.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLos quistes ováricos es una enfermedad muy común en las mujeres que a su vez pueden ser de diferentes tipos y la mayoría de los quistes ovárico tienden a no presentar síntomas. El presente caso clínico tiene como objetivo dar a conocer el Proceso de Atención de Enfermería en paciente adulta con quiste ovárico, la cual acude al área de emergencia del Hospital General IESS de Babahoyo con un cuadro clínico de dos días de evolución por presentar dolor tipo agudo a nivel lateral de la espalda baja, pérdida del apetito y refiere dolor al momento de las relaciones sexuales. Se valoró al paciente mediante la teorizante Marjory Gordon y sus patrones funcionales, así como la Teoría del Autocuidado de Dorothea Orem. Mediante la aplicación del Proceso de Atención de Enfermería se logró brindar todos los cuidados necesarios, los cuales se basaron en la sintomatología de la paciente y sus necesidades, con la finalidad de lograr una mejoría aceptable, situación que comprobó la efectividad de las intervenciones de enfermería aplicadas en la paciente.es_ES
