dc.descriptionThe present clinical case analyzes a 26-year-old patient with an ectopic pregnancy who goes to the Emergency Area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital accompanied by her mother around midnight due to presenting symptoms such as constant abdominal pain in the hypogastric area, vaginal bleeding, vomiting. and stunning. It is worth mentioning that the doctor in charge of the Emergency Area night shift established pharmacological treatment to relieve abdominal pain and general discomfort; however, she did not have the expected results because the next day the pain increased, for which she was admitted to the health institution. The objective of the case is to apply the nursing care process through the analysis of the patient's medical history in order to improve the altered functional patterns. The tests performed are physical, blood, feces and urine, transvaginal ultrasound, the results indicated intense abdominal pain on the right side, slight vaginal bleeding, infection and whitish discharge with a bad smell; In addition, alteration of certain functional patterns, reasons for which, the respective pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment is applied, which consists of: balanced diet plus liquid, rest, control of edema and vital signs, paracetamol, metoclopramide and exploratory laparotomy. During the controls, the patient presented pain due to the surgical incision, muscle weakness and nausea. The interventions performed were satisfactory because they allowed the patient to recover quickly and without complications.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso clínico analiza a una paciente de 26 años con embarazo ectópico que acude al Área de Emergencia del Hospital Alfredo Noboa Montenegro acompañada de su madre cerca de la media noche por presentar síntomas como dolor abdominal constante en la zona hipogástrica, sangrado vaginal, vómitos y aturdimiento. Cabe mencionar que el médico encargado del Área de Emergencia jornada nocturna estableció tratamiento farmacológico para aliviar el dolor abdominal y malestar general; sin embargo, no tuvo resultados esperados debido a que al siguiente día los dolores aumentaron, por lo cual fue ingresada a la institución de salud. El objetivo del caso es aplicar el proceso de atención de enfermería mediante el análisis del historial médico de la paciente con el fin de mejorar los patrones funcionales alterados. Los exámenes realizados son físicos, de sangre, heces y orina, ultrasonido transvaginal, los resultados indicaron dolor abdominal intenso en la parte derecha, sangrado vaginal leve, infección y secreción blanquecina con mal olor; además alteración de ciertos patrones funcionales, razones por las cuales, se aplica el respectivo tratamiento farmacológico y no farmacológico que consto de: dieta balanceada más líquida, reposo, control de edemas y signos vitales, paracetamol, metoclopramida y laparotomía exploratoria. Durante los controles la paciente presento dolor a casusa de la incisión quirúrgica, debilidad muscular y náuseas. Las intervenciones realizadas fueron satisfactorias porque permitieron a la paciente tener una recuperación rápida y sin complicaciones.es_ES
