dc.descriptionThe main objective of this case study is to design a fiber optic network to provide a stable Internet service with GPON technology, for the CNT company in the city of Babahoyo. Information and communication technologies are those that revolve around three basic media such as: information technology, microelectronics and telecommunications; but they do not revolve around the environment in an isolated way, but rather in an interactive and interconnected way, allowing new communicative realities to be achieved. The technical characteristics of the active equipment and the elements that make up the passive fiber optic network are specified. This documentation focuses on the design in the AutoCAD application of the fiber optic network for the city of Babahoyo. That is why we rely on the construction regulations that are made in the CNT company, as a consequence a regulation is made that adapts to the conditions in the construction within the city. In addition, this case study presents the tests carried out on the implemented fiber optic network. Respectively, a comparison was made between the differences between the EPON and GPON communication protocols, expressing their points to be treated as data rates, percentages, classes of service, quality of service, technical sheet of implementation costs, technical sheet of costs. of the Feeder cable, costs of the distribution network, the quality of the service and the general aspects for the creation of a fiber optic network.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso de estudio tiene como objetivo principal diseñar una red de fibra óptica para proveer un servicio de Internet estable con tecnología GPON, para la empresa CNT de la ciudad de Babahoyo. Las tecnologías de información y comunicación son las que giran en torno a tres medios básicos como: la informática, la microelectrónica y las telecomunicaciones; pero no giran entorno de forma aislada, sino a lo más significativo de manera interactiva e interconectadas, permitiendo conseguir nuevas realidades comunicativas. Se especifican las características técnicas de los equipos activos y los elementos que conforman la red pasiva en la fibra óptica. Esta documentación se enfoca en el diseño en la aplicación AutoCAD de la red de fibra óptica para la ciudad de Babahoyo. Por eso nos basamos en las normativas de construcción que se realizan en la empresa CNT, como consecuencia se realiza una normativa que se adapte a las condiciones en la construcción dentro de la ciudad. Además, este caso de estudio se presentan las pruebas realizadas sobre la red de fibra óptica implementada. Respectivamente se realizó una comparación entre las diferencias los protocolos de comunicación EPON y GPON, expresando sus puntos a tratar como tasas de datos, porcentajes, clases de servicio, la calidad del servicio, ficha técnica de los costos de implementación, ficha técnica de los costos del cable Feeder, costos de la red de distribución, la calidad del servicio y los aspectos generales para la creación de una red de fibra óptica.es_ES
