dc.description.abstractLa empresa Mayne mangueras hidráulicas inicio sus actividades en el año 2000 en la ciudad de Babahoyo inicio vendiendo productos de mangueras hidráulicas y sus repuestos luego fue creciendo y empezaron a vender accesorios para las mangueras hidráulicas y para las bombas o motores, con el pasar de los años en la empresa las ventas empezaron a decaer debido a la competencia y a la atención al cliente que se gestionaba en la empresa durante las ventas. El inventario es un registro documentado preciso y ordenado de bienes para la venta en actividades comerciales, industriales y agrícolas; representa un porcentaje significativo del capital de trabajo de una empresa; el control de inventario implica determinar la cantidad de inventario que una empresa necesita mantener para satisfacer la demanda de los clientes. Durante la etapa de crecimiento, las empresas adquieren y acumulan inventario para su posterior venta, y no saben cuál es la prioridad de los artículos de mayor rotación en el mercado, proporcional a la participación en los ingresos, ni cuáles tienen mayor riesgo de obsolescencia.
