Urolithiasis is one of the most frequent pathologies, it occurs in both men and women, and can be caused by many factors that influence its formation, either based on food and other pathologies. One of the most important reasons for kidney stones is low fluid intake. This clinical case is based on the study of a 30-year-old patient who attended a medical consultation due to pain in the lumbar region, vomiting, general malaise (myalgia- arthralgia), the patient indicates that he has a poor diet that may be without drinking water for a whole day and who does not perform any type of physical activity. The objective of this case is to improve the nutritional status of the patient, carrying out a nutritional evaluation through anthropometric, clinical and biochemical indicators in order to give the appropriate dietary therapeutic treatment. The anthropometric evaluation was carried out using the BMI (body mass index), which gave us a result of 28.39 kg/m2, according to the WHO the patient is overweight. In the biochemical assessment, hypertriglyceridemia was evidenced according to triglycerides of 160 mg/dl. being the normal values of 150 mg/dl, apart from the poor diet that he had along with the sedentary lifestyle.es_ES
