| dc.description | Oligohydramnios is a diagnosis that has been incorporated into the study of obstetrics in recent decades, it is one of the main causes of maternal-fetal death that today occurs in primiparous women, or pregnant women who have little knowledge about their pregnancy and its risks, is characterized by the absence of amniotic fluid, this fluid being considered one of the initial stages of pregnancy, it occurs after 20 weeks. Its function is to protect the fetus throughout the pregnancy, it is in charge of development, growth and movements; in addition to giving a suitable temperature for its environment. The amniotic fluid presents alterations of low quantity (Oligohydramnios) and high quantity (Polyhydramnios). This paper describes and follows up the case of a 26-year-old primigravid patient with mild oligohydramnios of 6.46 cm and a pregnancy of 30.3 weeks, who presented at the Nicolás Cotto Infante Hospital, showing an adequate evolution of the pregnancy with the pertinent controls. , ultrasounds, monitoring, maternal-fetal surveillance and laboratory tests, carrying out the appropriate management in conjunction with qualified health personnel, thus avoiding maternal-fetal complications. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El oligohidramnios es un diagnóstico que se incorporó en el estudio de la obstetricia en las últimas décadas, es una de las principales causas de muerte materno fetal que hoy en día se da en primigestas, o gestantes que presentan poco conocimiento acerca de su embarazo y sus riesgos, se caracteriza por la ausencia del líquido amniótico, siendo este líquido considerado una de las etapas iniciales del embarazo se presenta a partir de las 20 semanas. Su función es proteger al feto durante todo el embarazo, se encarga del desarrollo, crecimiento y movimientos; además de dar una temperatura adecuada para su entorno. El líquido amniótico presenta alteraciones de baja cantidad (Oligohidramnios) y de alta cantidad (Polihidramnios). En el presente trabajo describe y realiza seguimiento al caso de una paciente primigesta de 26 años de edad con oligohidramnios leve de 6.46 cm y embarazo de 30.3 semanas, se presentó en el Hospital Nicolás Cotto Infante, evidenciándose una evolución adecuada del embarazo con los controles pertinentes, ecografías, Monitoreos, vigilancia materno fetal y exámenes de laboratorio, realizando el manejo de adecuado en conjunto con personal de salud calificado evitando así complicaciones materno-fetales. | es_ES |
