dc.description.abstractEl presente caso clínico se efectuó en el Hospital de Especialidades de las Fuerzas Armadas Militar de la ciudad de Quito, provincia de Pichincha, resulta un tema interesante de estudiar por su dificultad para poder diagnosticar una espondilodiscitis, es fácil de confundir con otras patologías por la forma de manifestarse. Este estudio hace referencia a un paciente de sexo femenino de 68 años de edad que ingresó a la unidad hospitalaria antes mencionada, referida del Hospital Naval de Guayaquil en ambulancia acompañada por personal médico, acudió por un absceso en su zona lumbar y por haberse encontrado hospitalizada y en terapia intensiva por un shock séptico. Dados estos antecedentes se resolvió hospitalizarla en el área de traumatología para observación y tratamiento.es_ES
