The bees of the genus Nannotrigona are very important in the neotropics and this is due to their great capacity to pollinate a diversity of families of wild and cultivated plants, other characteristics that make them very significant are their docile behavior and their high eusociality with others. insects and with humans and this calls it an accessible genus for handling in meliponiculture. In Central and South America in many indigenous and acentral cultures which use the honey produced by these bees, giving it uses for food, as well as for medicinal uses which treat respiratory problems. Food resources for bees of the genus Nannotrigona are available in the neotropics despite the increase in deforestation activities and the removal of native plants and trees for agricultural, rural, or urban activities, but nevertheless; there are varieties of plants that provide protein and energy source through pollen and nectar and in this study 25 families of plants were listed that are distributed among trees, shrubs, palm weeds and the most important families for feeding these bees They are: Asteraceae, Bignoniceae, Fabaceae, Arecaceae, Amanthaceae, Moraceae, these according to the collection of information are the ones that showed the greatest relevance for the management and preservation of this genus.es_ES
