Insect pests in cucumber crops represent an important problem from the nursery stage to harvest, causing a reduction in crop yield; therefore, it is important to know the biology of insect pests and the damage they cause. Biological control is a tool that can reduce insect populations to lower levels, without causing any damage to the environment, preserving the natural enemies, which represents an alternative for the control of insect pests in the cucumber crop. Within the biological control of insect pests in cucumber crops, the use of insect parasitoids and predators, i.e. natural enemies, allows the reduction of insect pest populations to levels that do not cause economic damage, taking into account that it is long term and does not generate resistance. The information obtained was carried out through the technique of analysis, synthesis and summary, with the purpose of informing the reader about the biological control of insect pests in the cucumber crop (Cucumis sativus L.). From the above, it was determined that there is a wide application of biological control of insect pests in the cucumber crop. The diversity of species of predators and parasitoids that exist for the biological control of insect pests of cucumber crop, allow the implementation of an efficient biological control, in which several biotic and abiotic factors must be verified.es_ES
