| dc.description | The Nursing Care Process (PAE) is a set of procedures provided by the nursing staff with the aim of providing comprehensive care to the individual, family and community. It is made up of five stages and each of them is analyzed individually but they will always be related. Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder, which occurs mainly due to gallstones that block the cystic duct. This causes bile to build up, causing irritation and pressure on the gallbladder. Most of the cases are asymptomatic, and only 20% are more likely to develop acute cholecystitis. | dc.description.abstract | El Proceso de Atención de Enfermería (PAE) son un conjunto de procedimientos brindados por parte del personal de enfermería con el objetivo de proporcionar un cuidado integral al individuo, familia y comunidad. Lo integran cinco etapas y cada una de ellas se analiza de forma individual pero siempre van a estar relacionadas. La colecistitis aguda es la inflamación de la vesícula biliar, que ocurre mayormente por cálculos biliares que obstaculizan el conducto cístico. Esto provoca que la bilis se acumule, cause irritación y presión en la vesícula biliar. Gran parte de los casos son asintomáticos, y solo un 20% son más propensos a desarrollar una colecistitis aguda. Teniendo una mayor incidencia en la población femenina. Su clínica se caracteriza por dolor abdominal en el hipocondrio derecho, además de náuseas y vómitos, deshidratación y fiebre. El diagnostico se basa en la clínica, hallazgos de laboratorio y estudios imagenológicos.
