dc.description	This research was conducted in the town of San Miguel de Yahuarcocha, El Priorato parish, belongs to the Ibarra canton, Imbabura province, located at an altitude of 2227 meters, North Latitude 00º 22' 25,11´´ west longitude and 78° 05' 55,50 ''. It has an average temperature of 17.4 °C; 632 mm rainfall, relative humidity 65 % and 12-13 Heliophany hours. According to Holdridge, the Ibarra canton responds to the formation of dry forest Mount Under df-MU. As seed material using varieties of lettuce Crespa Verde and Romana Verde, whose objectives were to determine the effect of sediment in the Yahuarcocha Lagoon on the physiological and productive development in two varieties of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) were used; evaluate the most effective dose of sediment and economically evaluate the results. Treatments and sub treatments were constituted by the varieties of lettuce and dose of sediments (6000, 8000 and 10000 kg/ha) plus an absolute control, the experimental design was "parcel divided" with two treatments, four subtratamientos and four replications, determining the statistical difference Duncan test at 5% probability.........	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación se realizó en la localidad de San Miguel de Yahuarcocha, parroquia El Priorato, perteneciente al cantón Ibarra, provincia de Imbabura, ubicada a una altitud de 2227 msnm, Latitud Norte 00º 22’ 25.11’’ y Longitud Oeste 78º 05’ 55.50’’. Posee una temperatura media de 17,4 ºC, precipitación media 632 mm, humedad relativa 65 % y Heliofanía de 12-13 horas. Según Holdrige, el cantón Ibarra responde a la formación de bosque seco Montano Bajo bs-MB. Como material de siembra se utilizaron las variedades de lechuga Crespa Verde y Romana Verde, cuyos objetivos planteados fueron determinar el efecto del sedimento de Laguna de Yahuarcocha sobre el desarrollo fisiológico y productivo en dos variedades de lechuga (Lactuca sativa L.); valorar las dosis más efectivas de sedimento y evaluar económicamente los resultados. Los tratamientos y subtratamientos estuvieron constituidos por las variedades de lechuga y dosis de sedimentos (6000; 8000 y 10000 kg/ha) más un testigo absoluto, cuyo diseño experimental empleado fue “Parcelas divididas”, con dos tratamientos, cuatro subtratamientos y cuatro repeticiones, determinando la diferencia estadística con la prueba de Duncan al 5 % de probabilidad.......	es_ES
