| dc.description | Chronic bronchitis is nothing other than the inflammation of the trachea, bronchi and bronchioles, mainly caused by a viral infection of the respiratory tract, the clinical manifestations are varied, and range from cough, use of accessory muscles, decreased inspiratory capacity, among others. One of the main risk factors is tobacco use, as well as being exposed to its smoke and irritating odors. Chronic bronchitis is a type of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, which has no cure, but if its symptoms can be attenuated and complications avoided, there will recurrently relapses of it, but generally the clinical manifestations of bronchitis disappear after a few weeks , being secondary or opportunistic infections those that reduce health and require hospitalization. The treatment consists of bronchodilators, steroids, in addition to oxygen therapy, it is also very influential to stop smoking, change lifestyle, and raise the immune system to avoid opportunistic diseases. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La bronquitis crónica no es otra cosa que la inflamación de la tráquea, bronquios y bronquiolos, dada principalmente por una infección viral del tracto respiratorio, las manifestaciones clínicas son variadas, y van desde tos, uso de músculos accesorios, disminuida capacidad inspiratoria, entre otras. Uno de los principales factores de riesgo es el consumo de tabaco, así como estar expuesto a su humo y a olores irritantes. La bronquitis crónica es un tipo de Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Crónica, que no tiene cura, pero si se pueden atenuar sus síntomas y evitar complicaciones, recurrentemente habrán recaídas de esta, pero por lo general las manifestaciones clínicas de la bronquitis desaparecen al cabo de algunas semanas, siendo las infecciones secundarias u oportunistas las que merman la salud y necesita de hospitalización. El tratamiento consiste en broncodilatadores, esteroides, además de oxigenoterapia, también influye mucho el dejar de fumar, cambiar el estilo de vida, y elevar el sistema inmune para evitar enfermedades oportunistas. | es_ES |
