Acute pancreatitis is a sudden inflammation of the pancreas, which is generally diffuse, presenting a variable level of glandular involvement of the proximal retroperitoneal tissues and other distal organs. Where pancreatic enzymes are activated within the acini of pancreatic enzymes and released from the pancreatic ducts, causing inflammation of the pancreas. Objective. Apply the Nursing Care process to the elderly patient with acute pancreatitis to recover and preserve health in a comprehensive manner, with the respective nursing interventions. Clinical case. The present clinical case aims to present the Nursing Care Process in an elderly adult with acute pancreatitis. The study included computed tomography studies of the abdomen, chest X-ray, hematological analysis. Conclusion. It is necessary to know all the data of acute pancreatitis, for a better intervention and evolution of the patient, Nursing Interventions were planned, executed and evaluated with quality and warmth, according to the patient's profile, the discoveries of high amylase and lipase were the causes of the process of inflammation of the pancreas, the treatment was; intravenous hydration, analgesics, nothing by mouth very crucial within 48 - 72 hours, communication nurse / patient, doctor, facilitate rapid recovery of the patient with acute pancreatitis.es_ES
