dc.description | The present clinical case was carried out at the Dr. José Cevallos Ruiz de Yaguachi Basic Hospital, it belongs to a 45-year-old male patient, admitted to the emergency area of the hospital unit accompanied by a family member, conscious and oriented, presenting a clinical picture of ± 72-hour evolution characterized by hypertemia, dry cough, dyspnea, general malaise, fatigue, semi-solid to liquid stools, tachycardia, tachypnea, oxygen saturation 92%, anosmia, dehydrated mucosa, added breath sounds, wheezing, muscle weakness, proceed to work on the nursing care process, starting the assessment through the physical examination and complementary examinations, having as a definitive diagnosis Pneumonia associated with COVID 19 entering the isolation area to receive the respective treatment and nursing care, in addition to emphasizing Dorothea's theorizing Orem of self-care deficit to improve patient care in order to make it participate in the process of recovering their health, peripheral venous access channeling is carried out, drug administration according to medical indications, oxygen therapy by nasal cannula, thermal curve, water balance, low sodium diet, postural changes, application of physical means and nursing care. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El presente caso clínico se realizó en el Hospital Básico Dr. José Cevallos Ruiz de Yaguachi, pertenece a paciente masculino de 45 años de edad, ingresado al área de emergencia de la unidad hospitalaria acompañado de familiar, consciente y orientado presentando un cuadro clínico de ±72 horas de evolución caracterizado por hipertemia, tos seca, disnea, malestar general, fatiga, deposiciones semisólidas a liquidas, taquicardia, taquipnea, saturación de oxígeno 92%, anosmia, mucosas deshidratadas, ruidos respiratorios agregados sibilancias, debilidad muscular, se procede a elaborar el proceso de atención de enfermería iniciando la valoración a través del examen físico y exámenes complementarios teniendo como diagnóstico definitivo Neumonía asociada a COVID 19 ingresando al área de aislamiento para recibir el respectivo tratamiento y cuidados de enfermería, además de hacer hincapié de la teorizante de Dorothea Orem de déficit del autocuidado para mejorar el cuidado del paciente con el fin de hacer partícipe al mismo en el proceso de recuperar su salud, se realiza canalización de acceso venoso periférica, administración de fármacos acorde a indicaciones médicas, oxigenoterapia por cánula nasal, curva térmica, balance hídrico, dieta hiposódica, cambios posturales, aplicación de medios fisicos y cuidados de enfermería. | es_ES |
