| dc.description | Pyelonephritis or high urinary tract infection is a kidney infection involving the renal parenchyma, renal pelvis, and renal calyxes. | dc.description.abstract | La pielonefritis o infección urinaria alta es una infección del riñón que involucra el parénquima renal, la pelvis renal y los cálices renales. Normalmente, los microorganismos que la producen, ascienden desde la vejiga hasta el parénquima (Portnov, Último revisado: 16.04.2020). Sin embargo, es importante saber que Las infecciones de las vías urinarias es uno de los problemas más frecuentes durante el embarazo haciendo que este problema sea motivo de consulta más frecuente en los centros de salud especialmente de mujeres gestantes, siendo causa principal aquellas infecciones que son provocadas por bacterias gran negativas o gran positiva. Entre los cuadros clínicos presenta dolor al orinar, fiebre, escalofríos, dolor en el flanco y la zona lumbar, náuseas y vómitos. (Portnov, Último revisado: 16.04.2020).
