HELLP syndrome is considered one of the main complications in pregnant women with pre-eclampsia-eclampsia, although its incidence is not very frequent, it affects less than 1% of pregnancies, however it is a health problem that can put you at risk the life of the mother and the fetus, being essential a timely treatment and delivery of the baby to avoid complications. In the present clinical case, our objective was to assess a 35-week-gestation pregnant woman who attended the emergency area of the IESS Quevedo General Hospital, because she presented a clinical picture of two days of evolution characterized by an arterial hypertension of 170/90, headache, photopsia, pain in the upper right part of the abdomen, anemia, elevated transaminases and thrombocytopenia. She entered the gynecology area where an effective and comprehensive nursing care process was applied, providing nursing care actions to the pregnant woman during her hospital stay, contributing to the improvement of her health, achieving the incorporation of the puerperal woman into society, however newborn did not survive due to poor management of the pathology during pregnancy, due to the absence of all prenatal controls by the mother.es_ES
