dc.descriptionThe present clinical case was performed on an adult patient over 64 years of age who has been admitted to the Dr. José Cevallos Ruiz Basic Hospital (Yaguachi) through the emergency area, presenting with colicky abdominal pain of moderate intensity in the right upper quadrant. one month of evolution, apparent cause of eating food stored for days from its preparation, accompanied by hyporexia, dysentery for more than 5 days, emesis, anorexia, weight loss, asthenia and abdominal distension. In laboratory test results, Entamoeba Histolytica Cyst (+++) is observed, in abdominal ultrasound an amoebic liver abscess located in the left lobe with 5.8cm is observed, which distinguishes a focal lesion, a round one measuring 29cm in diameter. He does not present a personal, family, allergic or surgical pathological history. A nursing care plan is drawn up, achieving favorable results that helped improve the health and condition of the patient during their stay in the health unit.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso clínico se le realizo a un paciente adulto mayor de 64 años de edad que es ingresado al hospital básico Dr. José Cevallos Ruiz (Yaguachi) por el área de emergencia presentando dolor abdominal tipo cólico de moderada intensidad en hipocondrio derecho, desde hace un mes de evolución, causa aparente por ingerir alimento guardado de días desde su preparación, acompañado de hiporexia, disentería desde hace más de 5 días, emesis, anorexia, pérdida de peso, astenia y distensión abdominal. En resultados de exámenes de laboratorios se observa Entamoeba Histolytica Quiste (+++), en ecografía abdominal se observa absceso hepático amebiano situado en lóbulo izquierdo con 5.8cm, que se distingue una lesión focal, una redonda de 29cm de diámetro. No presenta antecedente patológico personal, familiar, alérgico ni quirúrgico. Se elabora un plan de cuidados de enfermería, consiguiendo resultados favorables que ayudaron a mejorar la salud y condición del paciente durante su estadía en la unidad de salud.es_ES
