Burns are the result of tissue lacerations, whether physical or chemical, that cause destruction in the superficial integument involving the tissue totally or partially. This case study deals with an adult infant, who came to the emergency area of the “IESS BABAHOYO GENERAL HOSPITAL”. A patient was admitted with second-degree burns caused by hot broth referred by the mother who accompanied him at the time of the emergency. The objective of this clinical case was to develop an individualized care plan for the older infant with second degree burns. Carrying out cephalocaudal and functional pattern assessment of the patient by Marjory Gordon and thus taking the affected patterns as a starting point from the hand of nursing interventions in relation to NANDA, NIC and NOC, evaluating the efficacy of certain interventions.es_ES
