There are multiple causes that affect visual health, one of these is Pseudomyopia, which consists of an increase in the power of ocular refraction caused by the over stimulation of the mechanism of accommodation of the eye or ciliary spasms. Myopia occurs when the eyeball has an elongation or the cornea is too curved, this results in distant objects being blurred and the eye does not focus properly. Pseudomyopia patients suffer from fluctuations in their focus due to poor accommodation. Objective: to determine pseudomyopia due to excess accommodation in a 30-year-old female patient, theoretically base the scientific bases of this study and make a diagnosis of the present clinical case. Methodology: inductive and deductive method was applied, patient data analysis, physical examinations were performed where hyperemia is detected in bulbar conjunctiva both eyes, 5.8 mm mydriatic pupil with normal reaction to light stimuli. Results: the patient manifested discomfort such as headache, blurred vision, symptoms that became recurrent at night, red eye symptoms. The clinical study included Donders score, direct ophthalmoscopy, retinoscopy tests. Once performed, accommodation spasm is detected. Conclusions: deficiencies in visual acuity caused by change of work activities and excessive use of electronic equipment. It was recommended to perform visual relaxation therapies, rest in the use of electronic equipment. It is concluded that the patient developed pseudomyopia due to excessive use of electronic equipment (Computer and cell phone).es_ES
