| dc.description | The present work is based on congenital malformations in the limbs of horses. Affected horses usually present intermittent claudication that increases with exercise and swelling of the carpal sheath. On radiography, these lesions appear as a bony protrusion, with an external cortex and a medullary, whose size and degree of ossification is variable. Ultrasound is very effective in diagnosing and measuring these tumors that appear as hyperechoic lines with acoustic shadowing. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | RESUMEN El presente trabajo se basa en las malformaciones congénitas en las extremidades de los caballos. Los caballos afectados suelen presentar claudicación intermitente que aumenta con el ejercicio y tumefacción de la vaina carpiana. En la radiografía, estas lesiones aparecen como una protuberancia ósea, con una cortical externa y una medular, cuyo tamaño y grado de osificación es variable. La ecografía es muy eficaz para diagnosticar y medir estos tumores que aparecen como líneas hiperecogénicas con sombra acústica. | es_ES |
