Zeal in animals is the part to lead to their reproduction, these estrous cycles occur in certain periods of time depending on the species and even in which area of the planet it is. The canine female fulfills the main objective of the study of this thesis since the estrous cycle of the same is determined and how many times a year they occur and if the place where it is influences through its photoperiod which will give way to allow copulation of the male and carry out the pregnancy. To understand this natural process such as heat we have to know that it consists of several stages of a hormonal order that meet specific and necessary characteristics to carry the creation of a new being as the final objective. For the development of this document, bibliographic information was collected from scientific journals, books, scientific articles, websites and other theses carried out. Similarly, the object of study also focused on the analysis of the reproductive system of the female canine and the functions that each of its structures fulfill, especially those that regulate the estrous cycle. The reproductive cycle is made up of; proestrus, estrus, right-handed and anestrus, which are the stages in which the canine female shows endocrine and behavioral changes until reaching a state of pregnancy. Studies carried out in both Uruguay and Peru have determined that there are changes in the behavior of heat in the female canine, depending on the place, temperature, photoperiod and time of year, data that to date are not conclusive.es_ES
