dc.descriptionCanine Babesiosis is a hemoparasitic disease caused by an intracellular protozoan Babesia, in which it is located within the erythrocyte and can cause intravascular hemolysis due to direct damage to the erythrocyte, this document aimed to cite the susceptibility to Babesia canis according to race , sex, and age, as well as according to the provinces of the Ecuadorian coast, for the development of the document, the exploratory method was used in databases with indexed journals, obtained from space of universities, books, Google bibliographies academic and scientific articles. Therefore, it was established that babesiosis has become one of the hemoparasitic diseases with a wide distribution that affects domestic animals, since it presents a series of clinical signs that can be confused with other diseases of the neurological system, therefore it is necessary perform hematological tests and thus be able to establish a good diagnosis and at the same time provide the appropriate treatment.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa Babesiosis Canina es una enfermedad hemoparasitaria causada por un protozoario intracelular Babesia, en el cual este se localiza dentro del eritrocito y puede ocasionar hemólisis intravascular por daño directo del eritrocito, este documento tuvo como objetivo citar la susceptibilidad a Babesia canis de acuerdo a la raza, sexo, y edad, así como también de acuerdo a las provincias del litoral ecuatoriano, para el desarrollo del documento, se hizo uso del método exploratorio en bases de datos con revista indexadas, obtenida de space de las universidades, libros, bibliografías de Google académico y artículos científicos. Por lo anteriormente detallado se estableció que la babesiosis se ha convertido en una de las enfermedades hemoparasitarias con gran distribución que afecta los animales domésticos, ya que presenta una serie signos clínicos que pueden ser confundidos con otras enfermedades del sistema neurológico, por lo consiguiente se necesita realizar pruebas hematológicas y así poder establecer un buen diagnóstico y a la vez suministrar el tratamiento adecuado.es_ES
