The problems that result from this situation have determined a climate change that has become unmanageable for humanity and that causes both human and economic losses. At present, and for the benefit of humanity, many investigations and projects are being carried out that aim to mitigate climate change derived from livestock production from a series of activities that aim to face this problem from a multidisciplinary and multifactorial perspective that implies radical changes in ruminant food systems, up to the genetic manipulation of ruminal microorganisms. Based on the above detailed and based on the imperative need to take responsibility for this problem, the present work tries, based on a bibliographic investigation, to put in context the problem of climate change due to the emission of gases from livestock production and describe the activities that are carried out. perform in order to mitigate it.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa producción pecuaria en el transcurso de la historia se convirtió en un medio fundamental para solventar las necesidades alimenticias y sobre todo los requerimientos de proteína animal indispensables para la vida y la evolución de la humanidad, los avances tecnológicos y la demanda creciente de productos derivados de la producción pecuaria y específicamente de los rumiantes que para el caso son los animales que por sus características nutricionales y metabólicas producen gases residuales, los mismos que se convierten en un problema muy grave para la humanidad a partir de los cambios negativos que producen al transformar una condición indispensable para la vida como es el efecto invernadero. Los problemas que devienen de esta situación han determinado un cambio climático que se ha vuelto inmanejable para la humanidad y que provoca tanto pérdidas humanas como económicas. En la actualidad y para beneficio de la humanidad se realizan muchas investigaciones y proyectos que pretenden mitigar el cambio climático derivado de la producción pecuaria a partir de una serie de actividades que pretenden afrontar esta problemática desde una óptica multidisciplinaria y multifactorial que implica desde cambios radicales en los sistemas alimenticios de los rumiantes, hasta la manipulación genética de microorganismos ruminales. Por lo antes detallado y a partir de la necesidad imperiosa de asumir con responsabilidad este problema, el presente trabajo intenta a partir de una investigación bibliográfica poner en contexto la problemática del cambio climático por emisión de gases provenientes de la producción pecuaria y describir las actividades que se realizan con el fin de mitigarlo.es_ES
